How is competitor monitoring defined by PriceShape?
At PriceShape, competitor monitoring involves continuously tracking and analyzing your competitors’ prices, stock availability, and price changes. Our platform automatically collects public data from competitor websites, providing real-time insights into their pricing strategies. This helps you adjust your own pricing to stay competitive without sacrificing margins.
But it’s more than just data collection. PriceShape gives you actionable insights to make informed decisions. You can easily monitor multiple competitors across various markets, product categories, and brands, keeping you ahead in the ever-evolving retail space.
What is the difference between dynamic pricing and intelligent pricing?
Dynamic pricing automatically adjusts your prices based on the rules you set. Intelligent pricing goes beyond that, grouping your products by performance metrics. This allows you to categorize items using sales data, stock levels, competitor insights, and more, ensuring you’re always focused on the right products.
What are dynamic product groupings, and how does it work in PriceShape?
Dynamic product grouping is a smart tool that lets you categorize products dynamically within PriceShape. Products are automatically tagged based on the criteria you set, and if they meet specific conditions, they are grouped accordingly. For example, you could create a “slow movers” group where products are tagged if they haven’t sold in the last 30 days or have over 50 units in stock. Once in this group, a more aggressive pricing strategy can kick in automatically.
By using attributes like sales data, stock levels, and customer behavior, you gain deeper insight into your product performance and market trends. Dynamic product groupings adapt in real time based on market changes, competitor moves, or other events, making them ideal for strategic planning, optimized pricing, and reporting.
